Deleting Message Notifications or Alerts on Android
To Delete Message Notifications:
- When a new message is received, the user will receive a notification on their device, notifying the user that they have received an incoming message.
- If the notification is still showing on the screen, simply swipe it left or right in order to delete the notification.
- If the notification is no longer on the screen, do the following:
- Drag your finger down from the top of your Android screen to display the list of notifications.
- Scroll down until you find the Glacier Messenger notification section.
- If there is only one message notification, simply swipe it left or right in order to delete the notification.
- If there is more than one message notification, then you will see messages from each user or group separately within the Glacier Messenger notification section.
If this is the case:- If you wish to remove all of the Glacier Messenger notifications, swipe left or right on the notification section to delete all of its notifications.
- If you wish to remove a specific notification:
- Click the small down arrow at the top of the Glacier Messenger notification section to expand the section.
- Find the message notification you wish to delete.
- Swipe that notification left or right in order to delete it.
- Click the small down arrow at the top of the Glacier Messenger notification section to expand the section.
- Drag your finger down from the top of your Android screen to display the list of notifications.

iOS
Deleting Message Notifications or Alerts on iOS
To Delete Message Notifications or Alerts:
- When a new message is received, the user will receive a notification on their device, notifying the user that they have received an incoming message.
- If the notification is still showing on the screen, drag the notification downwards until more options appear, and then click the "X" at the top right to delete the notification.
- If the notification is no longer on the screen, do the following:
- Drag your finger down from the top of your iOS screen to display the list of notifications.
- Scroll down until you find the Glacier notification for the incoming message.
- You now have a few options:
- Swipe the notification to the right to delete the notification and open the chat session to read the message.
- Swipe the notification to the left, and then select "Clear" to delete the notification without entering the chat session.
- If there is a grouping of notifications from the same chat session, you can either remove all of these notifications by following the steps described above, or first tap on the grouping to expand it, and then remove individual notifications.
